Of all things.... we lost a chicken to a bald eagle!!! We have had dogs, weasels, racoons, and now a bald eagle... maybe our chickens are highly regarded in the animal world and highly sought after...I was so torn... it was so amazing to see the eagle so close, and it is truly a huge magnificant bird, but my instinct is to shoot any animal that is attacking our animals... but I don't even know if that is legal.. I assume not... It flew to the top of the roof and stayed for a few minutes and then flew off when it saw I wasn't leaving. Now it is sitting in tree looking down...

yes, definitely awesome to see but sad. Our great pyr was attacked as a puppy and 3yrs later still flips out when she hears a bird even on tv. That same week we lost a sheep on the street to the same eagle and draft horses were within arms length of the eagle on the sheep and ignored the eagle and keep eating.
